| We should all do our bit to reduce our impact on the environment by making a few simple changes to our lifestyle. So the next time you head off on holiday think green! The Smiths Court Hotel encourages guests to act in an environmentally sensitive manner by advising on how to reduce linen and towel changes, and also on how to prevent water wastage. Fittings have been amended on water supplies to minimise wastage,guests are encouraged to report dripping or leaky taps, and regular maintenance checks are made. Phosphate free cleaning materials are used throughout the kitchen and house keeping departments. We also operate a "Reduce, Reuse & Recycle" philosophy with our waste management system. Along with the recycling of Glass, cardboard, disposable waste, paper and cooking oil (converted to Bio-Diesel), we are constantly examining new ways in which we can help the environment. From January 2010, we are also operating a 'paperless' system whenever practical, which means that guests will be asked for their email addresses, so that we can forward all confirmations and correspondence electronically. |
