| As well as an excellent pay & play and a first class driving range, there are four superb golf courses within 30 minutes drive – and we have preferential rates at them all! Indoor and outdoor bowls rinks are within bowling range(!). No less than four outdoor clubs play within a ten minute walk, and across the road, the Thanet Indoor Bowls Club boasts 8 superb rinks. The hotel has its own lobster pots, shrimping nets and prawning nets, so catching your own supper is always on the cards. Sea Bass is a favourite with local sea fishermen, and boats can be chartered if you want some serious action. TheViking Trail 26 miles of cycle path winds a circular route around Thanet. Along coastal paths, through quaint villages and quiet farmland; it can be as strenuous or as relaxing as you like.
